Pacific Resort Rarotonga is a great destination whether you’re travelling alone, with your partner or as a family. There is definitely something for everyone from long walks on the beach to relaxing with a book by the pool. One of the highlights for many people are the activities in the beach hut and every day there is an awesome kids’ club that runs from 9.30am to 3.30pm. The Beach Hut is the place for all guests to go for water sports activities from paddle boarding to kayaking as well as snorkels and flippers so you will get to know them throughout your stay. They are the life and soul of Pacific Resort Rarotonga during the day and will always bring a smile to your face and they will soon be popular with the kids as they take them on adventures as well as playing games each day.
Here are just a few of the activities that make up kids’ club:
Ball Games on the Beach
From volleyball to football to beach cricket there is nothing like some fun games on the beach to start the day and it’s also a great way for kids to get to know each other. Every day brings a new sport and it’s a chance to learn something new and have some fun.
The Beach Hut Boys are also expert craft makers and kids will learn anything from basket weaving to making floral head eis which are synonymous with the island. This is really popular with both boys and girls.
Sand castle competition
The sand on Muri Beach is perfect for making sandcastles and the kids definitely take this one seriously. We have seen some amazing sandcastles built by the kids and the beach hut boys are on hand to help out the younger kids too.
Octopus Hunt in the lagoon
This is one of the favourites with the kids as the beach nut boys take the kids out onto the lagoon with snorkels in hunt of octopus – it’s amazing what else they come back with!
Another big favourite with the kids the dance show is a culmination of a few different events – costume and craft making and a full afternoon of dance rehearsals before the big dance show in front of all the guests enjoying happy hour by the beach.
There are lots of other activities that are run by the beach hut boys including a clam hunt, beach walk and lagoon tales, crab hunting, shell collecting, coconut husking and more.
Who can attend the kids’ club?
The Kids’ Club is designed for children aged 6-12 however children under 6 are welcome to attend under parent or carer supervision. It’s super flexible so if you want to leave the kids for a few hours whilst you hire a scooter and explore the island, that’s all good or if they love it that much they want to stay all day, happy days!
As soon as you arrive at Pacific Resort Rarotonga, make sure you pop down to see the boys at the Beach Hut and find out more about the great activities for all the family.
