If you are in Rarotonga this week for the fantastic Matson Vaka Eiva international paddling festival, then we highly recommend you head on down to the Sails Muri Mingler Beach Party, which kicks off this Wednesday 29th November 2017.
This is free event for all competitors and spectators, and is being held yet again at beautiful Sails restaurant, located only a short walk down the beach from Pacific Resort Rarotonga on the famed Muri Lagoon.
This beach party is part of the unofficial celebrations taking place throughout the Vaka Eiva week, and as always, they are expecting a big crowd to celebrate this great week of friendly sporting rivalry and Cook Islands culture.
Sails Restaurant is known as one of Rarotonga’s most popular restaurants, and features on most traveller’s itineraries thanks in part to its wonderful location on picturesque Muri Beach and the amazing food on offer.
With inside and outside dining options, Sails Restaurant is host to the annual Muri Mingler Beach Party, welcoming guests from all across the world taking part or spectating in Vaka Eiva 2017. The restaurant celebrates their 26th birthday this year, making them a longstanding member of the Rarotongan cuisine community.
With the Muri Mingler Beach Party 2017 being only held at Sails Restaurant and only a five minute stroll down the beach from Pacific Resort Rarotonga, this event is perfect for those guests staying with us. The party is free to enter, with dinner starting at 6pm and $20 special dinner plates for those who pre-order and pre-pay. No worries if you haven’t pre-paid though, as there is a special menu with prices ranging from $5 to $20, and those who order from the main menu will receive 10% off the standard rate. There will also be great drink specials, with Happy Hour running from 3pm until 6pm.
The Muri Mingler Beach Party officially kicks off after the last race of the day and runs until late so dust off your dance moves and join in with the fun. The popular DJ Abzo returns to the Muri Mingler Beach Party this year, hitting the decks at 8:30pm, making for an awesome evening of feel-good beach vibes and dancing!
