Mater is an iconic Queensland institution, founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1906 committed to providing exceptional care to everyone who passes through its doors. The Mater Foundation exists solely to help Mater extend the boundaries of healthcare, education and research in the community and Pacific Resort Aitutaki is proud to have supported the annual Mater Ball event in Brisbane, Australia.
Hosted on the 25th May 2019 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, the evening featured live entertainment as well as a chance to be involved in exciting live and silent auctions in which the foundation were able to raise just over $100,000 to support investment in future generations.
Pacific Resort Aitutaki donated a 5 night stay for two people in a Premium Beachfront Bungalow which went to Mater Foundation board member, Carmel MacMillan, who is excited to experience the beautiful Cook Islands with her husband.
Mater strives to be at the forefront of patient care and continue to invest in critical, and often life-saving research to help the more than 10,000 babies delivered at Mater each year and their families.
