On Saturday, the 9th of November 2019, the Pacific Resort Hotel group in conjunction with Variety and the Woolworth’s Group celebrated the Woolworth’s Variety Charity Ball.
The Gala Ball is an annual event that not only celebrates the great achievements for the whole year of fundraising with supporters, suppliers and staff, but more importantly, it raises a number of funds needed for Variety.
Variety – the Children’s Charity prides itself on supporting children and families who are facing many challenges through sickness, disadvantage or living with disability. Their work allows children to gain mobility and freedom, to get out and about in the community, to communicate, achieve independence and increase self-esteem, and where possible, assistance to help them integrate into mainstream school and activities.
This year, Pacific Resort Hotel Group supported the prestigious event by sponsoring one of three major prizes for the live auction. This was inclusive of a 6 night accommodation package prize for two at our award winning Pacific Resort Aitutaki. As a result of the live auction, the prize sold for an incredible $8000!
These funds, along with the total amount raised will be put towards supporting Variety’s cause in helping children in need – thanks to the fundraising efforts of all those who attended the Gala and all it’s supporters.
The Pacific Resort Hotel Group is proud to provide continuous support to Variety – The Children’s Charity for their cause in supporting and helping children and families who are less fortunate in today’s day and age.
