Pacific Resort Aitutaki Supports the Mater Ball

Mater is an iconic Queensland institution, founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1906. From the beginning, it has been committed to providing exceptional care for everyone who walks through its doors.

The Mater Foundation exists to extend the boundaries of healthcare, education, and research across the community. In 2019, Pacific Resort Aitutaki proudly supported the annual Mater Ball in Brisbane, Australia.

A Night of Fundraising and Celebration

The Mater Ball took place on 25 May 2019 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. The evening featured live entertainment and exciting auctions, both silent and live. Thanks to generous support, the Foundation raised more than $100,000 to invest in the health and well-being of future generations.

Pacific Resort Aitutaki’s Contribution

Pacific Resort Aitutaki donated a five-night stay for two in a Premium Beachfront Bungalow. The package was won by Mater Foundation board member Carmel MacMillan, who looks forward to experiencing the beauty of the Cook Islands with her husband.

Mater’s Lasting Impact

Mater continues to lead the way in patient care while investing in life-saving research. Each year, the organisation supports more than 10,000 babies and their families, making a profound difference across Queensland and beyond.
