Pacific Resort Appoints New Regional General Manager

The internal promotion of Ani Thompson to the role of Regional General Manager delights staff and stakeholders of leading Cook Islands boutique resort group. 

Pacific Resort Hotel Group (PRHG) has announced the appointment of Ani Thompson to the newly created role of Regional General Manager. In addition to continuing in her role as General Resort Manager of Pacific Resort Rarotonga, Ms. Thompson will now support and mentor the respective managers of the 4.5 star Little Polynesian Resort and 5 star Te Manava Luxury Villas & Spa.

Ms. Thompson has been with PRHG since 2008 when she joined the group as Central Reservations Manager. Over the past 10 years she has continuously progressed through the organisation through various management positions until becoming the Resort General Manager of the award winning resort Pacific Resort Rarotonga in 2013.

As a born and raised Cook Islander, Ms. Thompson has dedicated her career to the hospitality industry of the small island nation. She is committed to developing and supporting local employment opportunities, is widely respected in the community, and has been responsible for many diverse HR and environmental initiatives for Pacific Resort Rarotonga. She has notably promoted the protection of the famed Muri lagoon and has a strong focus on environmental sustainability and cultural awareness for both the resort and the island of Rarotonga.
